These terms cover your use of Coquí Talk ("the app"), operated by Coqui Talk ("we"). By using the app you agree to them.

The service

Coquí Talk helps you practice speaking other languages. Days 1 and 2 of each course are free. A paid membership unlocks all course days, the AI conversation partner and custom AI courses. Pronunciation scores and AI corrections are learning aids and can be wrong; they are not a certification of language ability.

Membership and billing

Memberships are billed in advance, monthly ($7.99) or yearly ($59.99), through Stripe, and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Account › Manage billing or cancel; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice by email before your next renewal. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.

Refunds

If you are not satisfied, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it. After that, payments are not refundable except where the law requires.

Fair use

Membership is for one person. AI features have usage limits (currently 150 conversation replies a day and 3 new custom courses a month) to keep the service fast and affordable for everyone. Don't misuse the service, try to break it, or resell it.

AI-generated content

Custom courses and conversation replies are written by AI and may contain mistakes. Double-check anything important, such as medical or legal phrases, with a qualified person.

Liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
